Dan is the author of “Cleave America, Patriot Flames 1774” (2022) and “Cleave America, The Continental Divide 1802,” (2024). He has written extensively in technical, military, and often classified settings. Ten years ago, he transformed his technical writing skills into creative writing and turned his vision to America’s past, seeking instances where faith transformed the lives of ordinary Americans. He passionately enjoys taking decisive historical events and adding the power of imagination to create compelling, readable stories that teach life lessons.
The “Continental Divide 1802” focuses on the burdens that pioneers faced at the turn of the 19th century in Southwestern Pennsylvania, where starvation and political strife, such as the Whiskey Insurrection, stalked everyday life. Dan will highlight how hope triumphed over these struggles to shape the future of the United States. Lecture will be at 182 S. Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.Though this is a free event, registration is preferred.
