Thinking of volunteering at the Bradford House

"
I would say do it! There are a lot of reasons, but above all, the people you’ll work with in the organization have an unmatched passion and love for what they do that is quite literally infectious. It can be intimidating to “learn the house,” but that’s not what you need to do at all. Pick a room that you love and start learning about three artifacts. Pretty soon, you’ll know the entire tour backward and inside out. Listen to other tour guides when they give tours, and you’ll learn very quickly. I’d also say 18th-century clothing is much more comfortable than people think!"

Summer Day Camp

"They offer an amazing history camp in the summer. My son looks forward to it every year. They also hold and participate in so many community events throughout the year. The knowledge these wonderful volunteers share with the world is astounding. So much history in our little town. If you haven't visited, you should check them out! Thank you for being an asset to our community and sharing our history in a fun and interesting way!"

Great historical house tour

"
One of the best, if you like history. I have been to lots of historic houses and enjoyed lots of tours with excellent guides. This house and the guide we got were among the best. The rooms are beautiful. The furniture and clothing are, too. Our guide was charming and well informed. We played with colonial games and learned fire starting techniques - hands on."

"My fiancé and I are not natives to the area. We went on a ghost tour in the fall of 2017 and were very impressed with the house itself as well as the history. We contacted Traci and she was more than accommodating with having our ceremony there.

The house and staircase are amazing for wedding pictures as well as the outside gardens. Laney, was there the day of the wedding to accommodate all guests and give a history, she was amazingly kind and generous to all our guests. The gardens were prepped and landscaping was done for the event. It was an absolutely perfect day."

"The Whiskey Rebellion Festival is a great event, we have gone for the last 8 years. Wouldn’t miss it."
